Dies ist die Dokumentation unserer ersten Netzwerkperformance names 'ftp.performance'. Der sendende Computer erzeugt ein zufälliges Bild, ein Beispiel sehen sie unten, und schickt dieses per FTP an den empfangenden Rechner. Der graue Teil des Bildes stellt einige der niederwertigeren Bytes des Timerchips des Servers dar.

Verwendete Technik: Bash Shell Scripting, ein einfacher Bildgenerator, geschrieben in C und die netpbm Tools. Die Technik ist sehr einfach, dennoch ist einiges Material hier und hier verfügbar.

This is the documentation page of our first network performance called 'ftp.performance'. The sender simply generated random images like the one below and sent them to the receiver via FTP. The gray part of the image reflects some of the lower bytes of the timer chip of the server computer.

Used technology: bash shell scripting, a simple image generator written in C and the netpbm tools. It's pretty simple but source codes are available anyway on request or probably later from this site and will be GPL'd. Some material is already available here and here.
